Personalized Treatments For
Your Aesthetic Goals
IPL (Intense Pulse Light)
IPL, which stands for intense pulsed light, is a non-invasive treatment designed to improve overall skin tone, texture, and visible discoloration by targeting a variety of common skin concerns. This treatment is especially effective for sun damage, brightening the skin, and reducing redness associated with rosacea. Using advanced light-based technology, IPL targets unwanted pigment and vascular irregularities while supporting collagen production for healthier-looking skin. Treatments are customized to your skin type and concerns, making IPL a versatile option for the face and body. With minimal downtime and a comfortable treatment experience, IPL helps restore a brighter, more even-looking complexion and a refreshed appearance.
Pre-Treatment Instructions
Post-Care Instructions
Prior to your IPL appointment, please avoid sun exposure, tanning, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks before treatment. Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and other active skincare products as directed. Please arrive with clean skin and no makeup on the treatment area. IPL is not appropriate for every skin type or condition, and certain dermatologic concerns, such as melasma or specific Fitzpatrick skin types, may require alternative treatments. A consultation is important to determine candidacy, and some patients may be advised to use preparatory skincare products, such as hydroquinone, prior to treatment to help reduce the risk of hyperpigmentation. In some cases, a test patch may be recommended to evaluate how the skin responds before proceeding with full treatment. Our goal is always to select the safest and most effective approach for your skin.
Following IPL treatment, mild redness, warmth, or a sunburn-like sensation is common and typically resolves within a few hours to a few days. Pigmented areas may temporarily darken before gradually flaking or fading. Avoid sun exposure, excessive heat, and strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours after treatment, and continue diligent sun protection in the weeks that follow. For optimal results, a series of 3–5 IPL treatments is typically recommended, spaced approximately 4 weeks apart. Results develop gradually as the skin responds to treatment.
